Ageing

Mood: Old and weary
Age: 20 + 6
Cigarettes: 6
Coffee: 2nd cup
Hours slept: 3
Song playing: Lisa Ono - I Wish You Love

Time and tide waits for no man, i cant remember who said that but i would like to refashion that statement - time and tide waits for no man (female species in particular). Trust me for this is coming from someone who has only but a year before her skin stops renewing itself and her breasts embark on a journey down under, and i am not talking about Kangaroo Land. Late twenties is a scary prospect, those not so distant dreams during my teenage years did not materialize. There is one thing however, that i am truly thankful for, friends who were there, still there and i can safely say, will always be there. Through thick and thin, trials and tribulations and come what may, they are there to lend a listening ear, a shoulder to cry on, a buck or two and even to sing you a birthday song in awkward unison. :) You know who you are, i love you guys.

It has been a rough few weeks, trying to cope with examinations and dealing with emotional and mental crises. I can't remember the last time i felt genuinely happy, that is probably a sign that it has been too long. Sometimes shitloads of good coffee and friendship is enough, other times it just isnt. Simple things that used to make me smile dont work for me anymore, sometimes i worry about becoming blase and indifferent. I wish i have something to hold on to, a life buoy for the time being perhaps, until my ship sails in and bails me out. Toodles for now.

Breasts!!! Better stop them from plunging down!!! The only thing that is supposed to be plunging in that area is your neckline!!! Not the bustline!!!

Anyway Life is a little too complex to really think things through with such sheer simplicity. We al wish to live simply and be happy....can be done...but rather difficult and often resulting in discontentment .....so I guess we should not remain indifferent to things and matters of life....take each thing seriously...and induce passion and responsibility into it...you will find life so much worth living for.

Hmm... its been quite sometime since I last left comments in your blog hor.

Well... ageing is part of our life cycle process. Don't worry so much, cut down on your smoking, drink less (coffee & alcohol) do more exercise... and be cheerful, sunshine always and I'm sure you'll still youthful as ever, juz like DeeDee ;o) Not too sure if it works, but not a bad idea to give it a try, rite ?

In anycase, you take good care and don't stress yourself too much, and especially with affairs of the hearts.

I cannot but agree with Jeannie's comment - princess - yes; tower - yes; but you need to keep the tower in good condition, you must strive to look at life positively and that smile - that long awaiting internal smile will radiate from within you and the environs will be inflamed by that smile (coz of the deep joy within you).

But first things first, your exams. And remember "you are as old as you think you are"

Age is in mind inspite of all the facts surrounding it - Think, Act and Live as a promising young professional and work towards achieving it. - You've been through so much and you are almost there, just hang on a little longer and we shall all have cause to rejoice with a glass of Champagne.
